Built Before Central Air
Many Hollywood homes and apartment buildings were built long before central air conditioning became standard. It’s still common to find original wall heaters and gravity furnaces, while many homes have central HVAC systems that were added long after they were built.
Over the years, systems have been replaced, expanded, and modified as buildings changed. It’s not unusual to find undersized return air, ductwork squeezed through existing framing in ways that restrict airflow, and equipment that was replaced without addressing those underlying issues.
We’ve worked on Hollywood’s older buildings, original heating systems, and central-air retrofits since 1981. We know how these systems were built, where they typically fail, and what to check before recommending a repair or replacement.
From a straightforward repair to a full system replacement, we figure out what the job needs before recommending the work.
We’ve been working in Hollywood since 1981. Same family. Same standard. Still here.
