We’ve worked on plenty of Sherman Oaks homes that have been remodeled, expanded, or reconfigured over the years. When the AC isn’t working the way it should, those changes can be part of what we need to consider — especially if the cooling system didn’t change along with the house.
A repair call may start with a room that isn’t cooling, weak airflow to an addition, or uneven temperatures throughout the house. Sometimes the problem is with the equipment itself. Other times, the way the system was adapted as the home changed may be contributing.
That doesn’t mean every AC problem in a remodeled or expanded home is related to those changes. Sometimes a failed part is just a failed part. The important thing is knowing the difference.
