TWO GENERATIONS. ONE STANDARD.

My dad started this company with a cargo van, a box of business cards, and a standard for the work most people couldn’t match. I grew up in that van. When I was old enough, I got to work — the dirty jobs, the hard jobs, the jobs nobody wants. I earned my place in this trade the only way you can: in the field.

Today I run Hoffman Cooling & Heating. The van is different. The standard isn’t.

Why the Work Holds Up

Mid-century homes, custom new construction, apartment buildings, commercial properties — we’ve worked on it all. Different properties come with different considerations.

What doesn’t change is how we approach the work. We look at the whole system, draw on real experience, and never cut corners.

That’s how the work holds up.

01

WE LOOK BEYOND THE UNIT

As a licensed C-20 HVAC Contractor and General Contractor, we understand how HVAC ties into the property as a whole.

On repairs, we don’t just replace a failed part and hope for the best — we want to understand why it failed. On installs, we consider electrical, airflow, ductwork, and how the system is going to perform in that specific home or building.

The equipment matters. So does everything around it.

02

WE'VE BEEN DOING HVAC SINCE 1981

Some lessons come from the classroom. Most come from doing the work.

Forty-five years in the field have shown us what works, what doesn’t, and where problems usually start.

03

NO SHORTCUTS

The easy way isn’t always the right way. We take the time to understand what’s needed, explain your options, and see the job through.

Diagnose it properly. Communicate clearly. Do the work right.

REBUILDING AFTER THE FIRE

We were here before. We’re here now.

We work directly with builders, architects, and homeowners early in the process, so the HVAC is designed around the home — not forced into it later. We show up on schedule, coordinate with the builder and other trades, and keep the project moving.

Rebuilding is stressful. We make the HVAC side run smoothly.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

The Valley & the Westside — We Know Both

The San Fernando Valley runs 10-15 degrees hotter than the rest of LA on a typical summer day. Systems out here run harder, longer, and under much harsher attic conditions than they do closer to the coast. The Westside has its own demands — hillside access, coastal conditions, and homes where the HVAC has to fit the house, not the other way around.

We’ve been working both sides of the hill since the start.
